WELL DONE JAYDEN!

Big congratulations go to Jayden for getting selected to represent Kent in a Mini Red triangular county match at Bromley Tennis Centre. Kent were victorious and Jayden won all his singles matches. On top of this Jayden has recently moved up to an Orange 1 rating, which is an amazing feat bearing in mind how young he still is. Our training sessions and your hard work are clearly paying off! Well done!

WHAT A SPOOKY NIGHT AT SUNDRIDGE PARK!!

Sundridge Park’s clubhouse was transformed in to a haunted house last Friday thanks to the amazing effort by Carolyn Everitt (plus a little help from me as Sellotape cutter!). We were blessed with lovely weather and it was so nice to see so many of the children dressed up in their Halloween outfits. And what an effort from all of the coaches too. Ania, Eve, James, Zoe, Katie, Gary and Sharon all looked amazing!! We had a huge parents and children Around the World challenge that had most of us in raucous laughter! It got down to the last 2 of Alice and Sadie, with Sadie coming out the victor! A huge thank you to Lou, our legendary face painter who worked tirelessly all evening to make the children so happy and Gary so scary! The pictures below just capture some of the moments that made this an evening to remember!

IMPROVERS TOURNAMENT BASKS IN THE SUNSHINE AT SUNDRIDGE PARK!

We had a lovely day last Thursday for the Improvers tournament at Sundridge Park. The weather was gorgeous and there were some great matches, along with many laughs and lots of fun! Mary Turner (and her enormous forehand!) came out triumphant, with Jodie Austin and Heather Hopgood finishing joint 2nd. We had the customary lunch afterwards out in the sunshine with a couple of cheeky glasses of wine! Well done to all that took part - watch this space for the next one!

BIG BALL AND AROUND THE WORLD BONANZA AT SUNDRIDGE PARK!!

A fantastic evening was had by all at Sundridge Park on Friday. We had lovely weather and a great turnout for the Around the World challenge - Daragh Nott played with 2 of his children in tow (see below), some of the rallies were amazing! Eve Keith took the honours beating George Le Borde in the final - Her prize was 10 chocolate bars, which she is still working her way through! what a lovely picture of Eve and Geroge together and Ania photobombing it! The Big Ball challenge was a total blast with the adults coming from 0-2 down to triumph 3-2 much to the disappointment of the children….they definitely want a rematch! All in all a great evening and one to be revisited!

EMMA RADUCANU'S RUN AT WIMBLEDON CONTINUES!

Well done to Emma Raducanu for knocking out the number 11th seed L Fernandez of Canada 6-2, 6-4 in the 2nd round of the Girls Wimbledon Junior Championship. She will now play Joanna Garland from Taiwan for a place in the 1/4 finals. Go, go, go Emma, we wish you good luck!

Pictured here before and during her match (amazing technique and knee bend on Emma's serve) - but can anyone guess the Sundridge Park members who instead of watching the match on Centre Court decided to support Emma instead and were picked up on TV!
