ELIZABETH AND DAD HAVE FANTASTIC DAY AT EASTBOURNE!!

Back in April Elizabeth and Adriana won the Quorn Cup at Sundridge Park. As part of the prize they were invited to watch at this weeks Nature Valley International tennis event in Eastbourne, the other was to compete in the Quorn Cup National competition. Due to Adriana just giving birth to a little sister for Elizabeth Dad had to step in! Marian and Elizabeth did fantastically well winning 3 of their 4 matches! Some great snaps of the 2 of them at the Quorn cup event and a selfie of themselves watching in the Eastbourne centre court! Great stuff!!

After having been put their paces with some highly dynamic ground shot drills Emily H, Oliver, Matias and Emily B then finished the lesson with an absolute classic game of "Wipeout"!! Some of the points were out of this world and had the crowd on the edge of their seats!! Pictured here shaking hands at the end (and if you hadn't guessed from the picture the girls won!) and an amazing running forehand from Emily B!! You were all awesome!!

SUNDRIDGE PARK HALF TERM CAMPS WERE SO THE PLACE TO BE!

Despite the weather early in the week it didn't stop our juniors from coming in to the half term camps. The team competition came right down to the wire with the RED Team just nipping it in the last relay! It was also Luciana's birthday on Friday and captured a nice picture of her and all her friends at the end of the camps. I immensely enjoy the camps, we have so much fun and the children make many new friends....roll on the summer holidays, we have 5 more weeks of them!

SADIE AND DAISY BEAT SEVENOAKS IN COUNTY INTER CLUB MATCH AT SUNDRIDGE PARK!!

Huge congrats in order for Daisy and Sadie for beating Sevenoaks in the girls 12 and under County Inter Club match earlier today. Sundridge Park won the match 2-1. Daisy won her singles and Sadie lost a close tussle against her opposite number, but then they both teamed up in the doubles to win the deciding rubber 6-2, 6-1. A huge thank you to Sadie's mother Jackie for standing in as Captain on the day and for keeping all the girls hydrated with water and filling in the match card! She said " It was a really long afternoon in the blazing sunshine, the matches seemed to go on forever and the level of tennis was quite something" She also complimented the Sevenoaks girls for the spirit they showed despite losing. Pictured below our triumphant girls and also alongside their opponents. Well done Sadie and Daisy, we are all so proud of our Sundridge Girls!!

HADI WINS THE ROAD TO WIMBLEDON AT SUNDRIDGE PARK!

In the glorious sunshine at Sundridge Park yesterday afternoon 8 children battled it out to qualify for the County Finals in July. There were some fantastic matches, all played in great spirit. The final was a total cliff-hanger with Hadi just edging out Torin in a brilliant final 7-6. Full credit to both of the boys for putting on a great final and to all the other children that played. We all wish Hadi the best of luck in the County Finals and who knows....could Wimbledon be the last stop on the line for him!

So Proud Of The Orange Ball Matchplay Performances!!

Eleven of our little rising stars turned out this afternoon for the Orange Ball Matchplay. For three of the children it was their first competitive experience. I was really proud of how you all played and more importantly how you all carried yourselves. Well done to Rares for winning all but one of his matches! None of the children wanted to finish they were enjoying themselves so much! Everyone played a minimum of 8 matches, so watch out for some ratings going up! A good and committed turn out from their parents too as it was little bit chilly!!

Elizabeth And Adriana Take The Honours At Sundridge Park In The Quorn Family Cup!

A wonderful afternoon was had by all at Sundridge Park in the Quorn Family Cup. For many of the children it was their first tournament experience and what better way to make it by partnering mummy or daddy! We had a total of 24 players and the final was an enthralling encounter  between Elizabeth & Adriana against Arthur & Alex. Elizabeth and Adriana came through as victors 15-11. The whole event was played in great spirits (not too many parents hitting it too hard at the children!). A special mention should be made to my helpers. Grace, Lucy and Florence were amazing, running errands, playing some matches, emptying my sweet box and generally just being awesome! A huge thank you to Carolyn Everitt as well for all her help on the day. Can't wait for next years event!

Sundridge Park Easter Camps End In A Blaze Of Glory For The Red Team!

The Easter Camps had a nail biting finish with all teams still in contention coming into the final couple of events. Some sterling displays from the Red team edged them past the Gold team to take victory. I love the camps, lots of children coming together having fun and making new friends in the process. The picture of our top players taking a breather from their games really epitomises this! A big thank you to all of you that came in!

Leon Goffin Chalks Up His First Tournament Win At The Sundridge Park Camps!

Some great tennis was there to be seen at the Yellow Ball Easter Camp tournament. There were some fantastic matches throughout the tournament, but the final between Leon Goffin and Oliver Gower eclipsed them all. The match was decided on a tiebreak which Leon eventually won. Both boys should be commended on the level of play and they way they carried themselves - Well done to everyone that took part.
