SAM TOTALLY OBLITERATES HIS PB FOR LONGEST RALLY AT BECKENHAM SPORTS CLUB!

Less than 17 hours after Emily’s amazing rally of 1,249, Sam turned up for his lesson and I relayed the story about Emily’s record the night before. I asked Sam what his PB was - he said 130. I said let’s go for longest rally on the first ball of the lesson. So off we went, his brother Alex was on the adjacent court having a lesson with Eve and father Bryan looking on. We passed 130 which was great, but I felt there was something special going on here…we were both totally in the zone! The hundreds kept rolling by and I thought surely not! There were a couple of bad bounces to contend with and I had a couple of big scrambles, but we kept going. The rally finally ended (40 minutes later!) with a net cord and Sam had reached a colossal total of 1,170! Sam is just 8 years old, this is just such an amazing achievement and one that he should rightly be so proud of! Pictured below with his score etched into the court and one with his father Bryan and brother Alex. Well done Sam!
